I grew up understanding both the strength and the barriers that exist in communities like Southwest Detroit. Over the years, my professional work across nonprofit leadership, economic development, and community advocacy made one thing clear: systems don’t change unless people who understand the community are willing to stand in the gap.

Raíces is my commitment to that work. It’s about showing up for families when systems feel overwhelming, helping small businesses and nonprofits navigate complexity, and ensuring that culture, dignity, and trust are never afterthoughts. This work is personal. These are my roots — and together, we’re building forward.
